BOOK ONE
His magical powers are about to be put to the test.
When eighteen-year-old Edmund attends the eighteen-ninety class of The Academy of Arts and Science of London, AKA The Genie Academy, he discovers magic is not as easy as he thought. If he doesn’t make a life-changing decision, his hard-earned magical powers are at risk. Edmund has had a bumpy start at the Genie Academy. He barely survived the final exam for term one. He’s developed a few magical skills through his lessons, but his true gift is still illusive.
Can he endure the wrath of his Headmaster long enough to discover his magical gift? Or will he be sent home to face a father that has disowned him.
BOOK TWO
Will his first Master be his last?
Edmund is now a full-fledged Jin, but is he up for the challenge? He is about to find out when he is summoned by his first Master--who is actually a Mistress. She is a strong Victorian woman with a passion for horses and a long wish list.
Edmund struggles to harness his magical powers to please her and, to make maters worse, her spoiled pet rat is threatened by his presence and makes it very clear exactly how much he dislikes Edmund when the rat is given the gift of speech. Sir R.O. Dent foils Edmund at every turn. Will he meet the challenge of his first Mistress or will fail at his task?
BOOK THREE
He’s about to sacrifice everything to become a Genie.
When eighteen-year-old Edmund receives an invitation to attend the 1890 class of The Academy of Arts and Science of London, AKA The Genie Academy, he is forced to make a monumental choice. Edmund’s tutor tries to convince him that his many hidden magical talents will be revealed if he attends such a prestigious school, but Edmund has a hard time believing he could ever perform magic when he’s so shy and uncoordinated that he can’t even turn the pages of his sister’s sheet music at a recital without mucking it up. If he attends the Genie Academy to discover his magical talents his father made it clear he will be disowned.
Can he leave his beloved mother sister forever for a life of magic?
