Seventeen-year-old Esme is about out to find out when her guardian grandmother dies and leaves her an antique vase. Forced to move in with a father she hardly knows, she rubs it for good luck. Out pops a bowler-hatted genie! Esme hopes to turn her luck around now that she has a genie to help her deal with her problems there’s a catch.
She soon realizes the wishes are powered by Victorian-era magic and that her genies past could put her life in danger.

Can ten wishes change her destiny?
Seventeen-year-old Esme is about to find out when a bowler-hatted genie pops out of her grandmother’s antique vase. Jin says he’ll grant her ten life-changing wishes. At first Esme gets off to a bumpy start with Jin and her wishes. But she soon finds herself falling for her Victorian genie.
Then things take a dangerous turn when Jin’s former master, a diabolical Victorian magician, sends a message through the vase—he wants his genie back!
Esme has a tough choice to make. Work on rebuilding her relationship with her dad and a new life in Long Island or use her last wish to save the genie she loves.
If she travels to back in time to Victorian England, will she ever be able to return home again?

Eighteen-year-old Esme uses her last wish to help her genie, Jin, which sends her back in time to Victorian England. Esme is there to confront Roderick, Jin’s former master, and it may be the biggest mistake she’s ever made. With no wishes left, Esme is stuck in the past, possibly forever. Just as she is getting used to living in Victorian times, Jin’s troubles with his former master turn deadly.
Esme, and Jin have two enemies to face: Roderick full of revenge for the loss of his magician powers, and the genie High Council, who want to destroy Jin for breaking the genie rules and running off with Esme.
